La Casa de las Chimeneas is a group of eight rural houses with great charm and magnificent views, located in Tudes; a beautiful and sunny mountain town in the Liébana Valley, which was the winner of the Pueblo de Cantabria award in 2010.
The complex was an old livestock and agricultural farm, which has been carefully restored and adapted, trying to preserve as much as possible its original architecture and rustic atmosphere. Surrounded by its own stone wall, it forms a small town within the town of Tudes.

The accommodation
The one, two or three bedroom homes are spacious, comfortably furnished, and brightly decorated; which includes wall paintings inspired by illustrations from the Middle Ages. Each house is independent and offers all the advantages; to make your stay comfortable: Smart TV, wood burning fireplace, smart heating, electric oven, microwave, ceramic hob, American and Italian coffee maker, dishwasher, washing machine and complete household items.
The common areas
The common areas include a social room with Video Games, plasma screen TV with DVD, Internet with WIFI, traditional board games, information table, an attractive heated infinity pool, gardens and a couple of areas to eat; just below an ancient portal.
The location: Tudes
Tudes is a quiet place; but alive, since many of its 25 inhabitants still live from livestock and it is common to see them carry their cows and sheep from one side of the town to the other. Just 10 minutes from Tudes, is the town of Potes (1500 inhabitants), the most important town and center of the commercial life of the Lebaniega Region; for its banks, supermarkets, nightlife and the varied gastronomic offer.
That is why Tudes, whose social center is the curious Taberna del Inglés (owned by the same owners as La Casa…) and La Casa de las Chimeneas, are the perfect base to explore Liébana and Picos de Europa.
The area
The Picos de Europa offer a spectacular landscape, with mountains reaching up to 2,600 meters high, with exceptional flora and fauna; It includes a fantastic variety of flowers and butterflies, abundant raptors, deer, wild boar and in the highlands: brown bears and wolves.
Riding the Fuente De cable car, hiking, horse riding, exploring the pretty villages or trying the local cuisine are just some of the many ways to enjoy this beautiful corner of Spain, which enjoys an almost Mediterranean microclimate and it is located one hour from the beaches of San Vicente de la Barquera, Pechón and Gerra; in the Cantabrian Sea.
Tudes is easily reached fom the UK both by plane (including RyanAir to Santander and EasyJet to Bilbao and Oviedo) and by ferry (to Santander and Bilbao).
